You will be able to experience the feeling of freedom on the road and enjoy the beauty of our landscapes here in the Balkans. Our BMW motorcycles are all perfectly designed to offer you the best comfort while ensuring your safety. For example, we would like to mention the SOS BMW emergency call system.

We stand behind the outstanding quality, innovative technology and stunning design of our BMW GS models. Whether it is the F750GS, the F850GS, the F900GSA, the R1250GS or the R1300GS. Renting one of these motorcycles gives you the opportunity to experience this unique riding experience without having to worry about buying and maintaining your own motorcycle. At MotoGS Rental Croatia we offer you the aforementioned selection of BMW motorcycles for rent to meet your individual needs.

WITH A RENTAL MOTORBIKE THROUGH CROATIA AND THE BALKANS

You either land directly at Split Aerodrom (SPU) or at Franjo Tuđman International Airport Zagreb (ZAG). If you arrive in Croatia's capital Zagreb first, you book a connecting flight to Split. Once you arrive in Split, our Meet&Greet office is only 2 bus stops away (less than 10 minutes by bus). You can also have the motorcycle delivered directly to the airport of Split (Delivery Point Airport). And of course, we also have another Meet&Greet location directly in the city of Split (Delivery Point Split).
The rental prices include all taxes and duties, as well as the necessary motorcycle insurance.

Renting a BMW motorcycle naturally offers you numerous advantages. Above all, you can choose the right motorcycle according to your needs - be it for a weekend tour in the mountains of Croatia or along the Croatian coast, the legendary Jadranska Magistala. Or for a longer tour through Croatia's neighbouring countries, such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Albania. Even an overnight trip on a ferry from, for example, from Split, Dubrovnik or Durrës in Albania to Bari in Italy, or from Split to Ancona in Italy, is possible. There are no limits to your tour ideas and your thirst for adventure.

As long-time motorcycle enthusiasts with a lot of our own racetrack experience throughout Europe and New Zealand, we know that care and extensive, regular maintenance of the motorcycles is crucial to ensure optimal safety. We therefore ensure that all our rental motorcycles are regularly serviced and in top conditions. So, you can rely on us to provide you with a safe and reliable BMW GS motorcycle.

WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT OUR MOTORCYCLE RENTAL?

PACKING TIPS FOR YOUR BALKANT ADVENTURE!
Wondering what to pack for your motorcycle trip? Here’s our advice:

  • Pack Light: Skip heavy luggage and fine clothes; most restaurants in the Balkans are casual.
  • Choose Practical Gear: Opt for a Gore-Tex suit instead of heavy leather, as it’s versatile and ideal for all weather conditions.
  • Dress in Layers: Temperatures can vary greatly - coastal regions can reach over 40°C in summer, while higher mountain areas remain cool, especially in the evenings.

Travel smart, and you’ll be ready for the diverse climates and terrains of the Balkans!

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO RIDE?
The Balkans offer unique riding opportunities throughout the year, but the best time to ride depends on your route:

  • Coastal Routes (e.g. Croatia to Greece): Ride year-round, but keep in mind that July and August can be very hot.
  • Mountain Routes (Romania, Montenegro, etc.): Ride between late June and late October for the best weather. High mountain roads like the Transfagarasan or Transalpina in Romania are typically open July - October, as winter can bring up to 5 meters of snow in the passes.

Our motorcycle rental season runs from early February to late November, giving you plenty of options to plan your trip.
And don't worry - our team is available 365 days a year to assist you!

DISCOVER THE MAGIC OF THE BALKANS!
The Balkan Peninsula is a mystical and breathtaking region, offering endless possibilities for motorcyclists. Imagine riding along:

  • The D8 (Jadranska Magistrala) - Croatia’s famous coastal road with stunning Adriatic views.
  • Romania’s Transfagarasan and Transalpina Passes - Iconic mountain roads with unparalleled scenery.
  • Montenegro’s Durmitor National Park - Dramatic peaks, canyons, and unspoiled nature.
  • Albania's Ksamil beaches and still largely untouched nature in the hinterland with incomparable mountain landscapes - immaculate coast and crystal clear water and indescribable mountains.

The landscapes are vast and untouched - you might not see another person for hours on some routes. Just remember to keep your tank full, as gas stations can be far apart in the more remote areas.

The Balkans are an ideal destination for those looking to escape the stress of daily life and embrace the thrill of the open road.
Camping is also popular, and in many areas, you can pitch your tent wherever you like. It’s motorcycle romance at its finest!

LET`S PLAN YOUR RIDE!
You now have everything you need to start planning your motorcycle adventure in Croatia and the Balkans. Whether you choose a guided tour or design your own route, one thing is certain: an unforgettable journey awaits.

Picture yourself riding along the Adriatic coast, exploring quiet mountain roads, or camping under the stars in a remote valley. From the historic old town of Dubrovnik to the dramatic peaks of Transylvania, the Balkans offer an adventure like no other.

Don’t wait - book your BMW GS motorcycle today and start counting down the hours until your ultimate riding experience begins!

For most people, depending on their country of origin, no visa is required to enter Croatia as a tourist for a period of no longer than 3 months. However, to make sure that this applies to you, you can also find out more at VisaHQ and take any further necessary steps if necessary.

Of course. Sufficient motorcycle insurance is included in the rental price for every motorcycle. As are all taxes and duties.

A deposit of EUR 2,000 must be paid as security for the rental of the motorcycles. The deposit is usually reserved on your credit card and released again after the motorcycle has been returned in accordance with the contract. In the event of damage, any damage will be offset against the deposit. In this context, however, we offer additional insurance, whereby in the event of damage, the insurer will reimburse the lessee up to 100% of the costs offset against the deposit. The lessee therefore bears no risk of costs in the event of damage.

Of course, you need a valid motorcycle driving license to rent a motorcycle in Croatia. With a class A motorcycle driving license (EU compliant) you can ride all the machines that we offer you. For all customers outside the EU, the national driving license of the country of origin in conjunction with an International Drivers Permit is required.

Renting a motorcycle in Croatia has the major advantage for the rider that the traffic rules are similar to most of the rest of the world. The same applies to the traffic signs. Here, too, traffic drives on the right and the speed is also given in km/h. There are speed limits in the Balkans as everywhere else and they should be observed. Here, you can expect very high fines for non-compliance.

Important for the rider: Always watch out for wild animals. Especially in the early morning hours or at dusk, animals such as wild boars, bears, horses, sheep and cows come dangerously close to the road and sometimes even onto the road.

The pick-up and return stations are in
